Instructions
Prepare the tofu by pressing extra-firm tofu for 15-20 minutes to eliminate excess moisture. Then, crumble it into small pieces with your hands or a fork.
Cook the tofu crumbles by heating oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add the crumbled tofu and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden and crispy.
Season the tofu by adding chili powder, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir in soy sauce or tamari for added flavor. Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed.
Assemble the tacos by filling soft or crunchy taco shells with the seasoned tofu crumbles. Top with your favorite ingredients such as salsa, guacamole, lettuce, and cilantro.
